For non urgent visits please telephone before 10.30am.
If you need to be seen at home one of the doctors can visit but you may be asked to attend the Health Centre, rather than have a home visit. This may be better for you because we can make a more thorough examination and do more tests. You will usually be seen more quickly at the Health Centre than waiting for a doctor to visit your home.
Our receptionist will take and pass on the message requesting the visit. Sometimes the doctor will ring you back to assess the problem and see how urgent it is. Please give a clear idea of the nature of the problem.
Non-urgent visits may be postponed until your usual GP is available to visit, the receptionist will be able to tell you when your doctor is available. (Routine visits are planned for the day by 11:30am and take place between 12 noon and 3.30 pm). This guideline applies to weekends and Bank Holidays when the Out-of- hours GP service operates, as well as to normal working days. |
