Our usual phone number (0117 962 3406) should be used if the Health Centre is closed.
When the Health Centre is closed the phone line is redirected to the Frendoc Out of Hours service which deals with your out of hours medical problems.
You will be able to speak to an experienced family doctor who may:
- Give advice and make recommendations. (Please note that these phone conversations are audio recorded.)
- Ask you to attend a Primary Care Centre to be examined and treated. (You will not be able to see a family doctor without an appointment at the Primary Care Centre)
- Decide to visit you at home, if the doctor feels you are too ill to travel.
If you need to attend a Primary Care Centre you will be asked to attend one of the following locations:
- the FrenDoc centre on at The Greenway Community Practice in Greystoke Avenue, Southmead or
- the FrenDoc Primary Care Centre at Frenchay Hospital.
For more information visit www.frendoc.com
To be effective, this service requires your co-operation and therefore:
We count on you to use out-of-hours care only for medical problems, which cannot wait until our surgery reopens.
If someone near you has problems travelling to a FrenDoc Centre, please help with transport.
