Asthma and COPD
The nursing team at Westbury-On-Trym Primary Care Centre are able to help you manage your asthma or COPD.
You will be routinely invited for an annual check-up during your birthday month with reviews being done more frequently if you are having difficulty controlling your symptoms. The nurses will review and change treatment as required in consultation with your doctor. They also provide experienced advice on inhaler technique and self-management. If you still smoke, we can refer you to the smoking cessation service which offers appointments within the surgery. We are also able to refer you to the pulmonary rehabilitation service who provide excellent advice on appropriate exercise, diet and living well with your condition.
If you have COPD and have not seen our nurses in the clinic, then please make an appointment.
If you are an adult with Asthma which you feel is well controlled, you will be offered the option to complete a self-assessment questionnaire, which our nurse can review first, click here to complete
