Westbury-on-Trym Primary Care Centre for St Peter's Hospice
An intrepid team of 14 of our staff ('The Westbury Wheelies'!) are fundraising for St Peter's Hospice by completing the 40km 'Tour de Bristol' bike ride on the 26th of June 2021. You can find out more about the event here.
Our highly valued, local St Peter's Hospice provides care and support to adults who are living with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and the north Somerset area. They have been established for over 4- years and support up to 500 patients at any one time. People receiving their care have a wide range of conditions, including cancer, heart failure, lung disease and neurological illness. Support is focused around the physical, psychological, social and spiritual issues that can arise as a result of serious illness, in order to improve the quality of a person's life.
In 2020 St Peter's Hospice lost over £2 million in funding due to COVID, and 2021 is looking like another tough year. Here, at Westbury-on-Trym Primary Care Centre we wanted to do our bit to help, and we are very proud to be able to partake in the Tour de Bristol 2021 to support St peter's Hospice.
We have set up a Just Giving page here for those of you who may be interested in supporting St Peter's Hospice by sponsoring us.
