Josh qualified with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2019. Since then he has worked in a wide range of sports including Cricket, Rugby and Football professional level, the NHS and privately. Since March 2023, Josh has been working for PURE Physiotherapy as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) at both Fallodon Way Medical Centre and Westbury-on-Trym Primary Care Centre. His role involves the assessment of patients over the age of 16 who have soft tissue, muscle and/or joint pain to help decide on the most appropriate management/treatment options.
This includes all;
- Soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries
- Arthritis
- Spinal problems
- Nerve-related pain in arms or legs, including symptoms, such as pins & needles, numbness, weakness.
- Post-orthopaedic surgery - for review to answer questions, provide guidance with rehab and exercises.
- Rheumatological conditions including osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
- Other areas of interest and further training include; jaw pain, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), hypermobility.
- If indicated Josh can; Order scans, request bloods and refer to other services including Pharmacist, NHS physiotherapy (for ongoing treatment), Musculoskeletal Interface (MSKI), Rheumatology etc...
